Activating the 100% Device Offer

If you have keyed in to MTNs 100% Device offer on the MTN Mifi, and you have come up against various activation challenges, then just know that you are not the only one.

In that vein I have taken time out to compile the following steps that should be followed in order to do it successfully;

First thing though, do note that:

1.      The device should be new on the MTN network. If it is not, then, it will not be eligible.

2.      2. Secondly the device must be 3G/4G enabled.

Okay then, let’s get to the steps;

1.      Input the MTN sim into the device and switch it on. Do note that the sim card can be an existing or new sim card.

2.      Switch o the Wi-Fi on the device (Tablet, laptop, phone) and scan or search for MTN-MobileWifi-E5573.

3.      Choose MTN-MobileWifi-E5573 and enter the Wi-Fi password which can be found on the inside of the battery cover. It is labelled WIFI KEY.

4.      The user interface should then be accessed by imputing http://192.168.8.1 in the browser. A

5.      Next input Username; admin password; admin

6.      This interface gives you access to buy data (USSD.SMS), recharge and check data balance.

7.      Subsequently an SMS notification of the 100% data offer will be sent to you.

8.      On reception of this offer notification, you can now go ahead to activate a data bundle

9.      Checking your data balance should display for you both Data bundle balance and device bonus.

Finally this caveat; you should note that the initial data bundle on a different device will not be eligible for the double offer.
