MTNPrestige

Feeling Prestigious? Well, MTNs new loyalty program may just be the thing for you. Launched early this year, MTNs MTNPrestige program is a loyalty program aimed at appreciating and rewarding a select group of customers who have shown great loyalty to the MTN network over time.

For the purpose of the program, such customers are categorized, such categorization being largely based on tenure and spend on the network, into for classes. These being; Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

This is a unique circle where these group of customers will be able to enjoy access to MTN exclusive lifestyle-enhancing benefits and offers.

To be eligible customers must have made an annual spend of N60, 000 and above with an average monthly spend of at least N5,000.00 consistently for a 12 month period (January to December). The Catchphrase for the program is “Circle of distinction”

So you can probably imagine my excitement when I got the below message on my Blackberry phone earlier in the month. 


I'm an MTN Prestige member (even if it is only Bronze)? Yippee!!! Is that great or what. So to get more information on how I could go about enjoying some of the above offers, I logged onto the address in the sent text and was navigated to

Free Sim Swap; Well, the meaning of that is pretty obvious.
Exciting and Exclusive Offers; Special offers made to Prestige customers either solely by MTN or in partnership with 3rd party vendors/companies.

Hmm, so looking at the above then, got me wondering what I should do to test my newly updated MTN status. What do you guys think? Should I break my sim just to find out whether I’ll be able to get a free sim swap at the nearest MTN Walk-in Centre? NOT A FAT CHANCE! 
 Still, I really have to test this out. Okay, once my Lenovo Tab 3 7 arrives and I go to swap my SIM for a micro usim and generally configure it for MTNs LTE service, I’ll see just what sort of priority service I get at their center and whether indeed they will charge me for the SIM upgrade. Will keep you guys posted.
