Singapore’s Mobile Operators Shut down 2G technology

As from the 1^st of April 2017, Singapore’s mobile network Operators; M1, Singtel and StarHub, will be shutting down their 2G technology.

This is to allow for all mobile operators in Singapore provide a better service through the more superior 3G and LTE technologies.
As such in order to enjoy unfettered roaming service, all class of customers who intend to travel to and roam in Singapore must ensure that as from 1^st of April 2017, they set the network mode on their devices to 3G and LTE network band.
